BABRT Collaborates with Christine Pelosi, J.D., B.S.F.S. and UC Berkeley Extension to Offer Public Service Leadership Boot Camp - Spring 2010

Through this unique partnership, activist and author Christine Pelosi brings her book, Campaign Boot Camp: Basic Training for Future Leaders, to the classroom providing short, concentrated lessons to hone skills in the key areas of message, management, mobilization and money.

The Public Service Leaderhip Boot Camp allows students a chance to connect with other aspiring community leaders who are influencing public policy while devising their own roadmap to transform dreams into action through social networks, nonprofits, and political campaigns.

Pelosi served as director of the AFSCME PEOPLE/New House PAC Congressional Canidates Boot Camp, which worked with over 75 challengers in 2006 and 2008. She has also served as executive director of the California Democratic Party, deputy city attorney and assistant district attorney for the City of San Francisco, HUD special counsel in the Clinton-Gore administration and chief of staff to U.S. Congressman John F. Tierney.

Next Boot Camp will be offered Fall 2010.
